Our Pastor

Pastor Jon Kibler was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to a third-generation Lutheran Pastor father and English Professor mother. After being raised mainly in Southern California, he was educated at Mt. San Antonio College, St. Olaf College, and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. As part of his college education, he studied in Germany and Ireland. He also completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Oregon State Hospital as part of his pastoral training. He has served parishes in Minnesota, Montana, and northern California, and, before coming back to Ohio, an independent mission congregation in the Southern California high desert. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends; outdoor activities, gardening, traveling, reading, writing, music, and following sports. He can also occasionally be found at local Trivia Nights; or giving demonstrations of various folk instruments to children's groups. In the community, he is currently the President of the Farmersville Area Business Association (FABA); is a member of the Farmersville Rotary Club, and serves as a Chartered Organization Representative for Rotary to BSA Troop #127; is on the board of and volunteers with the Community Action Mission Program (CAMP); occasionally helps out in various ways with the local Valley View Primary PTO, and is currently a Substitute Teacher for Valley View Schools; and is active with the Farmersville Ministerium, serving as Treasurer. In 2018, he was privileged to participate in the Knights Templar Holy Land Pilgrimage. He is married to Tish, and they each have one child.
