Annual Meeting November 17th!

Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 17th, following the worship service. All confirmed voting members of the congregation are invited to attend for a brief business meeting.

Youth Lock-In and Youth Sunday November 9-10!

Mark your calendars - our annual Lock-In and Youth Sunday is coming up November 9-10! We'll be gathering for food and fun for all ages at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 9th. Everyone 10 and over is welcome to stay overnight for the Lock-In!

Then, on Sunday, November 10th, our youth and children will be leading the worship service! We look forward to it once again!

Fellowship Refreshments Needed

We need people to sign up to provide Fellowship Treats for the month of October. The dates are October 13th and 27th. There is a signup sheet on the Parish Hall bulletin board. There are funds available for purchase of treats. It doesn't have to be fancy, it is your choice. If you have any questions, see Pastor Jon or Darlene.

Church Cookbooks for Sale

Just a reminder that we still have Church Cookbooks for sale. They make a great gift for a birthday, wedding, shower, or thank-you gift. They are only $5 each. They are on the table in the Parish Hall.

Monthly Fellowship Meal October 9th!

Our next Fellowship Meal will be October 9th at the Village Inn in Farmersville at 6:30 P.M. A signup sheet is on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall. Plan on coming for a good time, good fellowship, and good food!

Christmas Cheer Baskets

It's not too early to start thinking of the many things we need to do to get ready for the Christmas season! One of the things that we do is put together Cheer Baskets for our shut-ins or seniors. The carolers will deliver them when they go caroling on December 1st. Last year we did 15 baskets and that will stay the same. If you would like to give something to put in them you can put it in the kitchen on the counter or give it to any Committee member; or, if you would like us to do your shopping for you, we can do that too!

Some of the items we like to include are snacks of all kinds, chapstick, puzzle books, pens, calendars, combs, socks, etc. If you have an idea of something you would like to see included, please let us know. The Cheer Committee consists of Diane Thompson, Connie Izor, Dorothy Adams, Christa Alspaugh, and Darlene Dale. Thank you for all your help. Our shut-ins enjoy the cheer that we bring to them!

Community Jericho Walk October 12th!

On Saturday, October 12th, we are invited to join in the annual Jericho Walk, with the Valley View community as we gather together as one community and one family of God to pray for our community, and in particular all those who work to bring an end to the opioid epidemic in our area. Join us as we gather at Valley View High School from 11:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. to join in worshipping and walking around the school grounds together.

All Saints Sunday is November 3rd. If your loved one was not included in the slide show last year and you would like them included this year, you can either give your picture to Pastor Jon or leave it in Darlene's office on her desk. Thank you.

Family Fun Night October 5th!

On October 5th we will host a Family Fun Night at the church! It will begin at 5:00 P.M., and will include a Scavenger Hunt for all who would like to participate. Lots of fun and, of course, food! So mark your calendars now! Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board if you are planning on attending!

Fall Dinner November 2nd!

Mark your calendars for our annual Fall Dinner, Saturday, November 2nd! It will be from 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tickets are $9 for adults, and $5 for children. We will also be raffling off a quilt.  Come enjoy good food and fellowship!

Progressive Dinner September 14th
